Beverly Maxvill's done it again with another great celebration of folk art tradition. Schoolhouse Fancies is a charming collection of best-loved schoolyard motifs. The alphabet panel would be a colorful learning tool for a child's room--just use as-is or cut apart for a wallhanging. Coordinates? Playful animals, apples for teacher and a bold stripe which will be great for borders and sashings. Other "fancies" include classic hearts, stars and letter tiles. Each element is surrounded by blanket stitches that will give depth to your project as well as fool your eye--it looks like wool felt!
