Before photography, advertisements were detailed miniature works of art. These early ads were the inspiration for Michele’s latest collection, Make Do and Mend. This group is a wonderful combination buttons, scissors and notions prints. Included are two great stripes—a delicate needlepoint stripe and a lovely lace stripe—in a host of historic colors. There’s also the Make Do and Mend word print—perfect for borders and backing. Colors? Soft pinks and ivories to rich reds and browns.
