A New Twist on our Wholecloth Quilt Panels!
This appliqued wholecloth quilt was made by Karel
Owens, of Karel Owens Kalico Patch in St.
Charles, Missouri. It is one example of just how
beautiful our wholecloth panels can become with a
little imagination and some extra Benartex
fabrics.
Using the shapes, etc. created by the washable
blue lines, Karel created appliques. She chose
our Fossil Ferns fabrics by Pat Campbell. With
all its shades and nuances, this was a perfect
choice for the twisted borders and flowers of
Holice's wholecloth design.
After appliqueing, the wholecloth top will be
quilted and then washed to remove the blue
lines. The end product is simply beautiful.
